QuickBooks Online has a modern, well-documented API, so integrations can sync in near real time. QuickBooks Desktop is reachable through Intuit's Web Connector, which syncs on a schedule and supports a narrower set of operations. Both work; we will tell you plainly during scoping what your version can and cannot do before you commit to anything.

From there we define exactly what syncs, in which direction, and how often, then build and test against a sandbox copy of your company file. Go-live includes a reconciliation check so your books match on day one.
What it costs
Every integration is scoped feature by feature and priced as a fixed amount agreed in writing before any code is written. There is no hourly billing, and the price does not move unless you ask for new scope. You can pay up front or spread the cost over a 0% payment plan.
Who owns the code
When the integration is finished, you own it: the source code, the data, and the accounts it runs on. That is written into the project agreement, not left implied. If you ever want another developer to take it over, nothing stops them.
